Rahul versus Biswa
On Sunday, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that Rahul Gandhi should refrain from visiting the birthplace of Srimanta Sankardeva at Batadrava on January 22 (today). He emphasized that there can be no competition between Lord Ram and the medieval-age Vaishnav saint, revered as an icon in the state.
Sarma also mentioned that commandos will be deployed along sensitive routes in minority-dominated areas, which are part of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra scheduled for Monday, coinciding with the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Rahul Gandhi accused that everyone is allowed in Mandir except him. He, along with congress members, protested by singing ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram.’
