Brother Vs sister clash
In Andhra Pradesh, YS Sharmila is pitted against her brother Jagan Mohan Reddy in the political arena. With the Andhra Assembly and Lok Sabha elections to be held in a few months, the strategies of the Congress party have created a stir in the state.
Andhra Assembly elections are going to be held along with Lok Sabha elections 2024. Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has already announced the list of candidates for the Andhra Assembly elections in 2 phases. Even Though the contest is close between the ruling Y.S.R. Congress and Telugu Desam parties, Congress, BJP, Left Wing and Janasena are also in the election field in Andhra.
It is the expectation of the Congress’s Delhi high command that the appointment of YS Sharmila will help to show the presence of Congress in the state even if it cannot take over the government in Andhra Pradesh.
