In 2025, the Australian Grand Prix will go back to its tradition of serving as the first race of the fresh season of Formula 1.
Since the competition’s start in 1996, Melbourne, Australia, which is playing host to the race week from March 14–16, has played host to the inaugural race nearly every year.
Yet it has not done so since the year 2019, after Bahrain assumed control as of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia in 2025 had to be delayed due to the holy month of Ramadan.
Before the two Middle Eastern races, there will be races in Japan and China after Australia.
Melbourne is contractually bound to host the first race of Formula 1 until 2032, and this is the first of four times that will take place.
Despite the possible exception of the initial races, the racing calendar for 2025 contains the same 24- races as the unprecedented season this year, all in equally comparable order.
The British Grand Prix will take held at Silverstone on July 4–6, and the season ends in Abu Dhabi from December 5–7.
Formula 1 chairman and chief executive officer Stefano Domenicali,, said: “2025 will be a special year as we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, and it’s that legacy and experience that allows us to deliver such a strong calendar.
“Once again, we’ll visit 24 incredible venues around the world, delivering top class racing, hospitality, and entertainment, which will be enjoyed by millions of fans worldwide.”
