Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the ‘Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana’ scheme which will provide rooftop solar power to one crore household across the country.
After the inauguration of Ram temple in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a new scheme to electrify the nation through natral energy. He tweeted in his social media account in which he mentioned that on this auspicious occasion of the consecration in Ayodhya today, the decision to build a roof top solar power system on the roofs of the houses has been strengthened.
Perks of Solar power system
The first decision PM took after returning from Ayodhya was to launch this solar power scheme named ‘Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana’. The scheme aims to install a rooftop solar system in 1 crore homes throughout India. This scheme not only helps to reduce the electricity bills of the poor people but will also make the country self-sufficient in generating energy.
Earlier, PM presided over a meeting to launch the scheme in which PM said that this Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana scheme can reduce electricity bills of the needy people and also make them self reliant for their electricity needs. Also additional income will be generated for surplus power generation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also advised the officials to launch a major national drive to encourage household power consumers to install more rooftop electric power systems which can generate electric current from the sun.
