Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon found herself in a tumultuous situation late Saturday night when she was confronted and allegedly attacked by a group of women outside her Bandra residence. The altercation reportedly started from accusations of rash driving involving Raveena Tandon’s driver, who allegedly injured several women while reversing the vehicle.
The incident occurred around 9 PM near Rizvi Engineering College on Carter Road, Bandra. According to multiple sources, Raveena Tandon’s driver was reversing the car to park it when a family passing by thought the vehicle would hit them. This perception led to an argument, escalating into a physical confrontation.
A video that has since gone viral shows Tandon stepping out of her vehicle and being heckled by a group of women. One of the women, visibly injured, claimed her nose was bleeding as a result of the altercation. In the footage, Raveena Tandon can be heard pleading, “Please don’t hit me,” as she tried to defend herself against the accusations and physical attacks.

Allegations Against Raveena Tandon and Her Driver
Mohammed, a resident of the area, alleged that his mother, sister, and niece were victims in the incident. “When we confronted him, the driver assaulted my niece and my mother. Raveena Tandon, herself, who was in an inebriated state, also stepped out and brutally assaulted my mother and niece,” he said in a video statement. Mohammed also expressed frustration over the police response, stating, “We have been here at the Khar police station for four hours and nobody is lodging a complaint.”
The Mumbai Police have issued statements attempting to clarify the situation. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Raj Tilak Roshan commented on the incident, stating, “Tandon’s driver was taking a reverse to park the car, and around that time, the other party was passing by and started shouting ‘gaadi chala rahe hai’ (they are running over us). Nothing happened; the car has not even brushed against any of them. They started fighting, and Raveena also came out and she started to fight with them.”
DCP Roshan added that both parties were brought to the Khar Police Station, but no formal complaints were filed. “Both the parties came to the police station, and we asked them to file their individual complaints, but then both the parties said that we have no complaint to file; there is no head injury. If the car had indeed run over them, they would have lodged a complaint,” he explained.
Sources close to Raveena Tandon have disputed the claims of her being drunk and attacking the women. “Raveena was alone with children at home when the incident happened, and she only came to save her driver who was being manhandled by the other party,” one source said. “The other party, in fact, started filming, and if you look at the CCTV footage, the actress is only trying to calm them down, but instead they started abusing and even said the actress was drunk, which was completely false.”
As of now, no official complaint has been lodged by either party. The Mumbai Police have recorded statements from Raveena Tandon’s staff and the other involved individuals. Despite the viral nature of the video and the public outcry, the police have maintained that the incident has been resolved without formal charges.
The actress has refrained from making any public statements as the matter is currently being handled by her lawyer.
