UMAGINE – TN
The two-day IT Summit “UMAGINE TN” organised by the Department of Information Technology and Digital Services at Nandambakkam Trade Center, Chennai has started today. Chief Minister Stalin inaugurated the conference.
During the budget session for the year 2021-2022, the announcement of conducting UMAGINE -TN, the annual technology leadership summit in Chennai was made. Accordingly, the first “UMAGINE -TN” conference was held from 23rd to 25th March 2023 at Chennai Trade Centre.
In continuation of this, this year too, IT Summit “UMAGINE- TN 2024” organised by IT and Digital Services Department of Tamil Nadu Electronics Corporation (Elcot) is being held on 23 and 24 February of 2024 at Chennai Trade Center, Nandambakkam.
On the first day of the conference, the Government of Tamil Nadu has decided to host a global technology event in Chennai in association with industrial companies as a platform to advance the mission of promoting technologies that deliver economic growth.
Free Wi-Fi service in Chennai
Earlier, according to the announcement made in the budget meeting during this event, free Wi-Fi services will be provided in 1000 important places in all the municipal corporations including Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, Salem. In the first phase, the Tamil Nadu Electronics Company will provide free Wi-Fi services in 500 important places in Chennai such as parks, bus stands and beaches. Chief Minister Stalin launched the scheme of providing free Wi-Fi facility.
