The Enforcement Directorate (ED) claims to have found 36 lakhs in cash and BMW cars at Hemant Soren’s Delhi residence. Soren’s problems are increasing day by day. The main accusation against JMM chief Mr. Hemant is that he had Army land handed over to the ‘MAFIA.’ With this new recovery of money, he appears to be getting trapped day by day.
Hemant is in the trap of ED
On January 27th, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) issued a summons against JMM chief Hemant Soren. Following this, an email was sent from the official account of the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) of Jharkhand, stating that Hemant would be occupied for the next month due to the budget session in the Jharkhand Assembly in February.
Then, on the day of the land grabbing scam, the ED questioned him for hours at his residence, where JMM workers protested against the ED. Later, on January 29th, an ED team reached Hemant’s Delhi house for further investigation, but Hemant was not present.
For the next 30 hours, there was no trace of Hemant until he was seen in Ranchi. Now, Hemant has to answer all the questions regarding the land scam and the new money and assets found at his residence.
Legal to political battle
Hemant Soren reappeared in Ranchi, waving his hand to his supporters and holding a key meeting at his residence. The high-level meeting was held for JMM workers, and his wife was also present at the gathering. Hemant is now trapped in legal battle, but he is trying to do best to convert this legal turmoil into political turmoil.
JMM and its allies consistently deny any wrongdoing by Hemant, asserting that all actions taken against him are
political revenge. Earlier, when Hemant was not seen for 30 hours, BJP leader Babu
Lal Mandi announced a reward of ₹11,000 in cash for anyone who would find Hemant.
His wife’s appearance in every important political space suggests that if Hemant is taken into custody, his wife may take charge. Hemant is constantly trying to convey that he is fighting strongly against the BJP.
