Mumbai bound flight received a bomb threat in the midair on Tuesday, 13 February. First information report said that nothing suspicious happened and the Mumbai police filed a case against that unknown person and started investigation.
Indigo flight 6E 5188 which was bound to Mumbai from Chennai started its journey on Tuesday morning.
While the flight was 40 km away from the landing destination Mumbai on air, a threatening note was found in the tissue paper of the lavatory.
Threat note
It is reported that, the note tissue paper said, “I am a terrorist, there is a bomb in my bag, if we land in Mumbai everyone will die. I am angry and everyone will die because of revenge”.
One of the cabin crew members found this threat note from the lavatory and immediately alerted the captain. They also informed Air Traffic Control (ATC) and other local security agencies as well.
Soon after the flight landed in Mumbai, passengers were directed to de board quickly and the officials completely checked the flight. It is reported that no suspicious things were found.
Case against unknown mischief
The Indigo airline explained that the aircraft was taken after all the protocols and it was taken to a remote bay according to the guidelines of airport security agencies.
In this regard, Mumbai police filed a case against the unknown person who created this mess under the section 505 (statement conducting to public mischief).
