Former President Donald Trump has won the Iowa caucus to choose the Republican Party’s candidate for the 2024 US presidential election.
The Democratic Party and the Republican Party are the two main political parties of the United States. Currently Joe Biden, the representative of Democratic party, is the President of the United States and his tenure is going to end this year. So the Presidential election will be held in November.
Republicans choose their candidate
Those who want to contest in the presidential election should get the support of the party members. Voting will be held in each province. The elected delegates will choose the presidential candidate of their party who attended the convention held on behalf of the parties.

Former President Trump, former Governor of South Carolina Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramasamy, a businessman are in the field. It is intresting to know that both Nikki Haley and Vivek Ramasamy are Indian origins.
In this, Trump has started the victory account by a great margin in the Iowa election. This victory took him a step closer to securing the third consecutive nomination for the Republican party.
Vivek withdraw from election
After these results Vivek Ramasamy announced today that he is withdrawing himself from the presidential race following a setback in the Iowa caucus to choose the 2024 US presidential candidate. Regarding this, he said, “I accept this fact tonight. It’s tough. But I agree. We were expecting a result that would surprise people today. It has not arrived”.
